Alerts

Monitor the web for interesting new content about your industry, business name, or product updates.

Google Alerts are email updates of the latest relevant Google results (web, news, etc.) based on your choice of query or topic. Google will send you an email as frequently as you like with information from around the web that matches your query.  This will allow you to stay on top of what people are saying about your business, what offers competitors are running, anything new in your industry, and much more.

You can set up custom alerts here.

When you set up the alerts, be careful of how you phrase them.

Tricks:

• Finding exact phrase matches using quotes like "plumbing sewer line"
• Using a minus sign – to remove things like plumber-blog
• Using a plus sing + to include mandatory items like plumber+drain
• Using a Geo-Location like plumber Denver
